Sorry. No happier post. My dog is suffering or just suffered from either a stroke, a seizure, or something. Been sitting with him since 3am. It's now almost 7am. None of the vet's emergency 24 hr hotline works, and there are 4 vets that offer this service. He can't move. He was whining but now is barking. I have a towel but I guess he's scared and freaked so pissed several times while lying down. Can't sit or stand, neck and right front paw goes stiff if he does that. Puked 3 times, white foamy stuff.

Will be calling off from work, but I need a vet right now!!

For the record, I hate sports cars and two-seaters. Where would my troupe of puppies go?

I admire the Mini Cooper (Original UK one) and the Beetle Car the same way I admire the Apple Macintosh computers, but I refuse to shell the cash to buy them.

I currently drive a Toyota Echo Verso. I know car model names vary by country, so probably by saying Echo Verso it probably doesn't say much... But with this car, it's almost like a mini-mini-van and I coudl s tow away the back seats to make room for transporting huge dogs like Retrievers!!!

The car seat is also quite high so my visibility is quite good. I like driving this particular car.

So, I pretty much like my current car and consider that my dream car.

2009 Final Loot

Was just randomly trying some stuff in Zara, when my Dad came over and said/asked “oh, you like that? OK, into the basket, I’ll pay it for you.”

My first reactions?

1. Afraid. First time in my 26 years lifetime did I hear my Dad offer to buy me stuff
2. When did my dad become a sugardaddy?
3. What’s up with the old man?
4. Better pay for myself
5. YAY! someone’s offering to pay!!!!!!!!!

Apparently, Dad figured out he would have no present for me for my birthday and so just stuck his nose over to say that.

I’m now the happy owner of a pair of pretty purple suede booties that were 50% off

and also a spiffy cool beige suede leather jacket that I think was 60 or even 70% off

I did buy my own things though. I tried a sample of this Kiehl’s moisturizer for the last couple of days and now I decided to buy it!

So we got a letter last night, and it wasn't even for us. Looking at the address, I decided it should be delivered to a nun's residence or dorm house (I'm sure there's a proper term but I'm to lazy to check it out). The nuns thanked me, and said they also got a mis-sent letter. I looked, it wasn't for me, and I explained where it should be.

But the nuns only gave mr a blank face.

Right, fine, I'll deliver that as well, but only today after work. Interestingly, this letter should go to a Seminary. It's all church related. If 3rd time's a charm, I wonder if there'll be a third letter to some other convent or church-run orphanage or something. Then it's some kind of message or sign, haha!

I spent the whole November and December saving up my ribbons... I resisted the Christmas event, but, I succumbed to the New Year event... oh, my 500-something ribbons earned in 5 weeks or so dwindled down to almost nothing in 5 seconds! I need to continue to save the ribbons for the next few days to get a new Obi. This Obi (and the bag) i have now was from the Yukata event....!!!! yes, I have make do with what I already have. That's life!

I'm quite happy with this year's loot ^^
I remember some years we got some really not so useful stuff, but this year, I'm already using most of the prezzies, or know that I will be using them ;) yay!!

My Christmas Report

Some of the things that happened:

- kids loved my Winnie the Pooh floating balloons
- too much good food
- no chance to put the cookies I made together for a photoshoot!
- kids are too noisy!
- one of the kids asked me for help in the toilet. Oh joy!
- this year got some neat presents (though nothing big to write about)
- but why is that even if my sis and I get the same thing, it's just mine that still has the price tag on? Not that I mind, but you are supposed to remove the price tag when you wrap a gift for giveaway, isn't it?
- my tooth/gums wound is well enough! I celebrated by eating a pack of snackoos. Yum yum.
- now a hot cup of green tea to wash it all down!
- I am basking in the victory of getting the most squeals from the kids upon seeing their presents... mwahaha!!! I have to start thinking about next year's presents already!!!

I'm sure more will come! (No, I'm not full of myself!) I know that during the holiday season the mail gets pretty slow over here. You see, Winter Solstice (22 Dec) was a holiday, then 24, 25 are holidays, and then 31 and 1Jan are going to be holidays too...

I've once received a Christmas Card in February, so I'm sure the Christmas cheer will drag on till a long long time :3

Well, I'm writing this from work ^^ But I'm feeling good, despite last night's stuffy Midnight Mass (we chose the wrong church to go... it was more touristy than christmassy) and late night. I'm going for a family lunch in about an hour and then I don't have to come back to work ^^ (with Boss' permission!) *cough*andit'scountedasaworkdayforme*cough*

I now know why in Europe, many churches have a "No Tourists and No Photography during Service" rule.
It's outright annoying.

Next year I am going to St. Clara's Chapel again. It's more quiet, doesn't have so many tourists, but the choir drags the Mass time with very long songs. I guess that's better than a long-winded Homily....?

It was a bit sad to see people who don't know what Christmas is, celebrate Christmas in such a weird way... Countdown... Parties, Rave parties, costume parties...

OK, I also stepped out of line by goign to the Cinema, but I did have dinner with the family... and after Mass, it's back home to toast, give thanks, and head off to bed.

When I was walking to work this morning, it was only me and a bunch of old people in the streets... have the young ones been KO'ed from last night's parties? Or am I the one who's aged so quickly?

Even my Mom says I talk like an old lady, with those mentalities and such... Whatever!

Fishnet stockings

This is my absolute first time wearing fishnet stockings. Let's just say I find them highly inconvenient! I only wore them for a few hours and I've already hooked them countless times: either the boot zipper, my hands which are peeling due to the sudden weather change, the chair and other furniture around the house.

Tonight's plan is to have a light dinner, off to the Tower to watch the Sherlock Holmes movie, then take a bus to go back downtown to the chapel for an English Midnight Mass.

Then I have to work in the morning... Actually I don't really need to work, but since some people are working, I'll just head back for the morning and check some emails, then it off for the family lunch, and later back home to continue the preparations for the party.

It'll be a busy day, thank god it's a Friday so I get the next 2 days off as well!
